Her main clinical and research interest is in the field of temporomandibular joint reconstruction and she has assembled a surgical team that is recognized nationally for complex maxillofacial reconstruction.
Under Dr. Silva’s leadership, the San Francisco VA Dental Service has developed specialized programs in oral pathology, orthodontics, sleep dentistry/sleep surgery, oral medicine, and maxillofacial prosthodontics.
